Aadujeevitham out on OTT: The survival drama, directed by Blessy, is based on the novel by Benyamin and tells the story of Najeeb, a man forced into slavery in Saudi Arabia.

Aadujeevitham, the recently released Malayalam film starring actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, is now finally available for streaming. The film made its OTT debut on Friday and can be watched on Netflix. It is available in multiple languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
Aadujeevitham, also called as The Goat Life, is a survival drama film, written and directed by filmmaker Blessy. The film is based on the 2008 Malayalam best-selling novel Aadujeevitham authored by Benyamin, which itself is based on the real-life story of a Malayalee immigrant laborer Najeeb.
The film revolves around Najeeb, a man from Kerala who goes to Saudi Arabia in search of better livelihood, but is forced into slavery and work as goatherd by the native Arabs in harsh working conditions. After getting a brief window to escape from his master, Najeeb plans to run away and embark a long travel amid the desert to reach to human civilization.
Prithviraj played Najeeb, and had undergone extreme physical transformation for shooting the film. You can watch his performance by streaming the film on Netflix. Apart from Prithviraj, Aadujeevitham also features actors KR Gokul, Amala Paul, Jimmy Jean-Louis, and others.
Aadujeevitham had been in the making since 2010, and upon its release opened to positive responses and high praises for Prithviraj's acting and transformation. The film is backed by Blessy along with Jimmy Jean Louis and Steven Adams.
The nearly three-hour long film was distributed by Prithviraj under his banner Prithviraj Productions. The technical crew consists of Sunil KS as the cinematographer and A Sreekar Prasad editing it. AR Rahman has scored the music for the film.
Aadujeevitham became one of the highest grossing Malayalam films of all time and proved to be a commercial success, continuing the golden streak for Malayalam cinema. It hit theatres on March 28 this year.
