Aadujeevitham director Blessy says writing the Prithviraj-starrer’s script was the hardest part
Director Blessy recently opened up about the challenges he faced during the making of Aadujeevitham. The film is slated to be released on March 28

The hardest aspect of the whole process, according to director Blessy of Aadujeevitham, was writing the screenplay for the eagerly awaited movie, as he stated in an interview with Film Companion.
He clarified the statement's reason by stating that multiple people in charge of different departments participated in its making. But it was up to him to take a well-known novel bearing the same name and make it appealing while maintaining emotional coherence.
The director said that he carefully considered every detail and made a few minor adjustments to the narrative based on his research. "I wanted to highlight the unexplored parts of Benyamin's story. I can add my emotions and creativity to it in this way," he remarked.
He mentioned how, although Sainu's character was not given much space in the book, he believed that Sainu's presence would give Najeeb more vitality in the movie. “The desire to be with Sainu once more drives Najeeb to persevere through the difficult desert environment. In this movie, I have tried to highlight a lovely aspect of their tale," he continued.
Just like Najeeb, Aadujeevitham withstood numerous challenges
Blessy clarified that he and the entire crew faced numerous difficulties, much like the movie's tagline, "Every breath is a battle." Although the project could have been finished in two years in some Rajasthani deserts, he said that his meticulous attention to detail led him to select the locations in Jordan and Algeria.
"There were issues at every turn, and the Covid-19 situation just made things worse, delaying the project even more," he claimed. The director continued by stating that it took him a year to complete the post-production work.

He said that films should not only be made for entertainment but also have a lasting impact on the audience and multiple points of recall. On March 28 Aadujeevitham, which features Prithviraj Sukumaran in the title role will be released in theatres.
