Panja Vaisshnav Tej, who had a terrific start to his career with Uppena, went onto star in director Krish Jagarlamudi’s acclaimed drama Konda Polam and the family drama Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga. Vaisshnav was seen in an out and out mass avatar in Aadikeshava, the actor’s only release this year, where he was paired opposite Sreeleela. Debutant Srikanth N Reddy helmed the film.
Aparna Das and Joju George made their Telugu debut with Aadikeshava, produced by S Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Srikara Studios is the presenter. The film faced multiple delays with its release and hit screens globally on November 24. After a brief theatrical run, receiving mixed responses, the actioner will be out on OTT.
Leading streaming platform Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical rights of Aadikeshava and announced the digital premiere date recently. The film will release on the OTT giant this Friday i.e. December 22. Sithara Entertainments’ other releases in 2023 - like the campus comedy MAD and Dhanush -Samyuktha Menon starrer Sir - were also out on the same platform.

GV Prakash Kumar scored the music for the film which had cinematography by Dudley (in collaboration with Prasad Murella and Arthur A Wilson). Navin Nooli is the editor of the action entertainer with AS Prakash handling art direction duties. Aditya Music acquired the audio rights of the film. The film is a familiar combo of action, romance, humour and family drama.
The story revolves around Chitra(Sreeleela), a CEO of an MNC, who falls in love with one of the employees Balu (Vaisshnav Tej). Unhappy with their relationship, Chitra’s parents try to kill Balu. However, their attempts are thwarted by a gang that comes to Balu’s rescue. What connects Balu to the mining baron Chenga Reddy(Joju George)? Watch the film to know more.
“Aadikeshava is a very routine and outdated action drama that does not showcase anything novel. Barring a few romantic and comedy scenes featuring the leads, the action is over the top,” OTTplay.com's critic wrote at the time of release.
