Aadi Saikumar, whose Athithi Devobhava, Black and Tees Maar Khan released this year, is keenly awaiting a turnaround with his next release - Crazy Fellow. Directed by Phani Krishna Sriki, the film also starring Digangana Suryavanshi, Mirnaa Menon, is hitting screens on October 14. Aadi shared his experiences on working on the film at the pre-release event held on Sunday in Hyderabad

“I thank all the chief guests who’ve come for the event within short notice - Sharwanand, directors Maruthi and Sampath Nandi. When we reached out to Sharwanand, he immediately told us ‘I’ll be there for you.’ Whenever I think of Sharwa, I am reminded of Prasthanam. My dad and he acted in it and all of us know how it turned out to be a cult classic,” he said.

“When Phani narrated the script to me, I knew it would be an out and out entertainer, but it is also bound by a strong emotion. He came prepared with a bound script and made our jobs easier. KK Radhamohan garu asked if I liked the script and agreed to produce it immediately,” Aadi added. The shoot, he claimed, was a breeze and helped them wrap up the shoot in 40 days effortlessly.

Aadi named RR Dhruvan’s music as one of the major highlights of Crazy Fellow. “He gave us all the six songs much before the shoot and we liked them immensely. Balatripura Sundari went viral - many great singers are part of the album. It was cinematographer Satish Muthyala who brought the script to me and believed in it fully. Mirnaa Menon, Digangana were fantastic co-stars.”

He is confident that his comedy track with Narra Srinivas will entertain viewers. “It’ll be a laugh riot when you watch it on the big screen. The film is coming to you on October 14 and I hope it emerges successful.” Saptagiri, Anish Kuruvilla, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Ravi Prakash, Pawan, Priya Hegde and Deepthi Naidu form the supporting cast. K K Radhamohan has produced it under Sri Sathya Sai Arts.
