It’s been nearly 4 days since the nail-biting season finale of ‘A Shop for Killers’ premiered on Disney+Hotstar, but the intriguing twist nodding for a sequel is still making heads turn on social media. Starring Korean stars Lee Dong-wook (Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Goblin) and Kim Hye-jun (Queen Consort Cho) in prominent roles, A Shop for Killers is a suspense-infused K-drama that follows college student Jian after she gets intertwined in the dangerous world of her uncle Jeong Jin-man’s crime world.

7. Bae Jeong-min (played by Park Ji-bin)

Park Ji-bin's character has the worst character development. From initially being portrayed as a school friend, Bae Jeong-min was suddenly showcased as the arch-villain, who is self-centered and greedy. From the flashbacks, we can see his dark demeanor as he locked Ji-An and let his friend die by mercenaries. He is portrayed as an excellent hacker but lacks presence of mind and basic smarts, leading to his wasteful death.

6. Bale (played by Jo Han-sun)

Bale was projected as a notorious and merciless Babylonian fighter. His inhumane and sadistic personality fueled a rift between him and his teammate, Jeong Jin-man. The duo had a brutal faceoff; however, his unexpected return to avenge his death is still hard to digest. How can a human survive multiple gunshots, bomb explosions, and fire? Many fans are still baffled by how!

5. Min-hye (played by Geum Hae-na)

Min-hye is a character whose empathy and fighting skills make her a decent supporting character. However, despite being a S-class fighter, she is unable to defend herself in the best possible way and is saved by Pasin multiple times to make it to the next season (which will be coming soon, hopefully).

4. Brother (played by Lee Tae-young)

This character is one of those who reminds you that being different is good. Showcasing splendid skills of loyalty, Brother’s role is tastefully done. The climax scene, in which he risks his existence for the newly appointed manager of the Killer Shop, is unmissable. However, it’s a shame that his skills were not utilized to the core, as he had a limited screen presence.

3. Jeong Ji-an (played by Kim Hye-jun)

This college-age character is fearless, but her undeniable sympathetic traits have landed her in trouble more than once. She is an oddball but is incredibly stubborn, which made her learn self-defense techniques from Pasin. However, despite her courage and fighting skills, Ji-An is a bit naive, as she lets Bae Jeon-min manipulate her into believing he is the good one rather than believing Brother.

2. Pasin (played by Kim Min)

Pasin initially appears as Ji-An's Muay Thai instructor before turning out to be Jin-man's trustworthy partner. Despite being perceived as an anti-hero due to his unconventional ways of surviving and making ends meet for his famil, but he carried himself with impeccable dignity, and this definitely made him the closest to the best. Pasin is a manipulative, highly trained fighter and is rapid in his decision-making.

1. Jeong Jin-man (played by Lee Dong-wook)

Despite his character being depicted only in flashback scenes, Jin-Man never let the viewers feel his absence. Whether it is his hard-hitting dialogues, chase scenes, or humanity, this character is the strongest of all, and Lee Dong-wook's intense personality did pure justice to it. Jeong Jin-man is the owner of Murthehelp, the secret shop that sells deadly weapons, and his past as a mercenary makes sense for his mysterious yet high-stakes job. His hidden advice to Ji-an at difficult times and empathetic nature make him the best character in the series.
