A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter trailer: Holiday variety special brings music, comedy, festive cheer to Netflix

Carols, comedy, and celebrity guests come together as Sabrina Carpenter’s holiday special lights up Netflix this December.

On Friday, December 7 at 7:30 am IST, you can watch A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter a holiday variety music special, exclusively on Netflix. Comedic cameos, surprise duets, and guest performers will adorn the holiday special, which will feature pop icon Carpenter performing songs from her EP Fruitcake and other popular holiday renditions.

Star-studded guest lineup

Tyla, Shania Twain, Kali Uchis, Nico Hiraga, Quinta Brunson, Jillian Bell, Sean Astin, Megan Stalter, and Kyle Mooney will perform duets on the show. Chappell Roan and Tyla will also be making cameos.

Fans can be confident that Sabrina Carpenter will be present, despite the absence of an official announcement about Santa Claus's attendance. Carpenter and OBB Pictures are producing A Nonsense Christmas under Carpenter's At Last Labour label.

For Carpenter, the holidays have always been so special. In an interview with Netflix, she said that, with her passion for music and humour, she would be bringing her own special brand of humour and style to an old-fashioned holiday variety show.

Behind-the-scenes visionaries

Michael D. Ratner, executive producer and founder/CEO of OBB Media, stated that Carpenter's intention to undermine the traditional Christmas special has been apparent from the beginning. Everyone at OBB, from Simone Spira and the Volara team to Sam Wrench and Nikki Boella, is immensely proud of the work they have done to bring Carpenter's vision to life on Netflix. Their gratitude for working with the world's most fascinating artists to reimagine the expected is immense.

That being said, Carpenter had already proven herself to be the everlasting gift well before the holidays. Her sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, became the third-biggest first-week launch in 2024, the week before the announcement of A Nonsense Christmas. Numerous prominent publications, including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Variety, and countless more, immediately offered glowing reviews of the album.
