A house? Car? Diamonds?: Here's what Priyanka Chopra bought with her first pay cheque

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has come a long way since she won the Miss World title in 2000. The model went on to become a top Bollywood actor, starring in hit films like Bluffmaster, Dostana, Kaminey, Barfi!, and Dil Dhadakne Do.

She then made her mark in Hollywood with a lead role in the series Quantico, before going on to do films like Baywatch.

Having come this far, the actor reminisced about where she started in an old interview that has resurfaced online.

In the interview, she was asked how she spent her first pay cheque. Priyanka said, "I do remember that when I got my first big pay cheque, I bought my first car. I also bought myself a solitaire diamond (ring). So, I would buy myself a car or jewellery whenever I got a big job or felt like celebrating an achievement."

She then added that this was something her parents always encouraged her to do. Priyanka said, "My parents used to always encourage (me to do) that. My mom drove me to a (car) dealership once herself and told me to buy something for myself."

Priyanka was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video series Citadel, in which she was paired with Richard Madden. The show has different regional spin-offs, and Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be starring in the Indian version of Citadel.

According to some reports, Priyanka might join adventurer Bear Grylls on a new episode of his show, Man Vs Wild.
