94th Oscar Nominations: When and where to watch the live stream online

Oscar season is finally upon us, and today is the day when the nominations for this year will be announced. Leslie Jordan, the Emmy-winning actor-comedian, and Tracee Ellis Ross, the Emmy-nominated actor-CEO-producer, will host a global live stream on Oscar.com, Oscars.org, and the Academy's digital platforms, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

The nomination special will be live streamed in India on February 8, 2022, at 6:30 PM.

The nominations to be announced include: Actor in a Supporting Role, Actress in a Supporting Role, Animated Short Film, Costume Design, Live Action Short Film, Music (Original Score), Sound, Writing (Adapted Screenplay), Writing (Original Screenplay), Actor in a Leading Role, Actress in a Leading Role, Animated Feature Film, Best Picture, Cinematography, Directing, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, Film Editing, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Song), Production Design and Visual Effects

Meanwhile, the 94th Academy Awards will air on March 27, 2022.

According to a tweet by Rotten Tomatoes editor Jacqueline Coley, filmmaker Tha Se Gnanavel's critically praised Tamil courtroom drama Jai Bhim starring actor Suriya, may make it to the 94th Academy Awards nominations.

New York Times Awards Season Columnist Kyle Buchanan tweeted a query to Jacqueline Coley with just hours till the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announces its list of Oscar nominations: "Which Oscar nomination could elicit the strongest reaction from you tomorrow morning?"

Coley responded to the question by saying, "Best Picture goes to Jai Bhim." This is something she can assure her of.

Apart from Jai Bhim Priyadarshan's Malayalam period drama Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea), starring Mohanlal, is also among the 276 films nominated for Academy Awards this year.

The event will take place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Sunday, March 27 (Monday, March 28, in India). It will be broadcast on ABC in the United States and in more than 200 countries around the world.
