Sivaji, who’s now a part of Bigg Boss Telugu, plays a teacher in the show
Actor Sivaji, who’s been in the news for his stint at Bigg Boss Telugu recently, will next be headlining a full-fledged web show. His next web series, titled 90s, is written and directed by Aditya Hasan. Vasuki Anand, popular television actress and the Tholi Prema find (who recently returned with Anni Manchi Sakunamule), is cast as his on-screen better half in the feel-good show.

Rajashekhar Medaram is bankrolling the web series under Amogha Arts and MNOP. Sivaji plays a bespectacled character named Chandra Shekhar, a maths teacher in the show. Introducing his character, ETV Win wrote, “All of us must have met a strict maths teacher in our lives, Chandra Shekhar is one such. Relive iconic moments and stories of an entire generation.”
Vasuki essays the role of Shoba Rani, Chandra Shekhar’s wife. “Shoba Rani is a tough nut to crack, even for a strict maths teacher. Let’s meet this Diwali,” the streamer introduced her character. The show creators have called it ‘a middle class biopic’ that offers a throwback to many high points of life in the 1990s. 90s is all set to premiere on ETV Win this Diwali, in the second week of November.
Vasanthika Macha, Mouli, Snehal Kamat and (Master) Rohan Roy form the supporting cast of the web show. Suresh Bobbili scores the music for 90s while Lakshmi Priyanka and Tarun are the lyricists. Azeem Mohammad cranks the camera and popular technician Gandhi Nadikudikar is the art director. Sreedhar Sompally is the editor. Sharveen is the executive producer.
The other crew comprises the costume designer Sreedevi Tetali and creative producer Vinod Nagula. The trailer, teaser launch date and other details surrounding the promotional campaign will be out soon. Vasuki recently made her OTT debut with a Tamil show on aha titled Ramany vs Ramany 3.0 alongside Ram G, the third season of the hit Tamil serial Ramany vs Ramany in the 90s.
