Relevant subject

The main aspect of Nirnayakam that sticks out is how relevant the topic was. Ajay witnessed his father fighting a high-profile case involving the death of a girl named Arya, which is allegedly related to a government party strike and the carelessness displayed by the authorities who are supposed to protect people's rights.

The importance of the government taking a more progressive stance on human rights legislation is emphasised in the film. The film depicts the overall harsh effects of political strikes, although the question of how they affect the average man's life remains controversial.

V K Prakash’s direction

Bobby-Sanjay's captivating script has enabled director V K Prakash to craft a socially relevant film that stays true to his signature style while eschewing the overuse of commercial film gimmicks. He received the National Film Award for Best Picture on Other Social Issues for the movie.

Intriguing performances

Prem Prakash gave an outstanding performance in his role as Advocate Siddarth Shankar. In the category of Best Character Actor, the artiste won the Kerala State Film Awards in 2015. Nedumudi Venu and Asif Ali both performed admirably in their roles, giving the film just the right number of poignant moments. Even though they had less time on screen, the remaining cast members still made an impact on the movie.
