The first song from 83 is out and is titled Lehra Do. The track is picturised of the leading actors from the film showing their morale during the first few matches at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. The song is based on how the Indian cricket team loses their hearts due to their continuous losses in the tournament. They are seen shedding tears while people of other countries are rejoicing in the win.

The song also gives a glimpse into Deepika Padukone's character, Romi Dev, who supports her husband Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev unconditionally. The video ends with the captain gearing up to face the opponents with winning spirit, and since then, there's been no turning back. The team eventually won the World Cup in 1983, shocking each and every cricket fanatic across the globe.

Lehra Do is sung by Arijit Singh, while the music is composed by Pritam and the lyrics are penned by Kausar Munir.

The Kabir Khan directorial, 83 also features Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, and R Badree as the main Indian cricket squad.

The supporting cast includes Deepika, Neena Gupta, Boman Irani, Aditya Arya, Satish Alekar, and Wamiqa Gabbi.

Deepika, Kabir, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Sajid Nadiadwala, Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment, and 83 Film Ltd. have produced the film.

The film's Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam language rights were co-financed by Kamal Haasan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Sudeep, and Prithviraj Sukumaran through their respective Raaj Kamal Films International, Annapurna Studios, Kichcha Creatiions, and Prithviraj Productions banners.

83 is finally getting a release after much delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film is set to hit the big screens on December 24, 2021, during the Christmas weekend.
