First look of 80s Buildup

Santhanam, who has had two releases this year, is giving back to back updates to his fans. He began the year with DD Returns which turned out to be a super hit. However, Kick, which was released a month ago, was an underwhelming outing.

He has Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, a comedy with fantasy elements, in his kitty. The actor announced a few days ago that he has wrapped up dubbing for one of his forthcoming projects being bankrolled by Anbu Chezhiyan.

A star-studded cast

Santhanam has now surprised fans by releasing the first look poster of another movie of his titled 80s Buildup. S Kalyaan of Gulaebaghavali and Jackpot has helmed the film produced by Gnanavel Raja. Motta Rajendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Redin Kingsley, Anandraj, Munishkanth, KS Ravikumar and Tiger Thangadurai play significant characters in the movie. Radhika Preethi has played the female lead in the comic caper.

Ghibran has composed music while Jacob Rathinaraj has handled cinematography. MS Bharathi and AR Mohan have handled editing and art direction respectively. Ravi and Hari Dinesh are in charge of action choreography. The announcement of the movie's release date is likely to happen soon.

Amazon Prime bags the movie's digital rights

The makers have revealed the digital partner of 80s Buildup along with its first look poster. Amazon Prime has bagged the OTT rights of the film. Sabhaapathy was the last film of Santhanam which had Amazon Prime as its digital partner.

The actor is likely to have at least two releases in 2024. He was supposed to play a crucial character in AK 62 which was planned to have Vignesh Shivan at the helm. However, the project was dropped in the last minute.
