The film has garnered a tremendous response from pet parents and lovers from across the country.
777 Charlie has been amassing fans across the country even before its official theatrical release. The film was recently premiered in select North Indian cities such as New Delhi, Amritsar, and Lucknow to a highly positive response with many members of the audience, especially pet lovers and pet parents, taking very kindly to the film's emotional core. One among those enamored is the passionate animal activist and current member of parliament, Maneka Gandhi who shared her opinion of the film through and also lauded the team of 777 Charlie for centering an emotional film on a nonhuman form.
"I loved the film, one of the best I have ever seen. And the message the film carries is very thoughtful and emotional. I would urge everyone to watch the film," said Maneka Gandhi and added that films of this kind must be made tax-free in the future. She went on to share that personally, she is parenting 24 rescued dogs. In the past, Maneka Gandhi has held several key positions in her pursuits to curb animal cruelty - she was appointed the chairwoman of the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA) and is also the founder of India's largest animal rights organization, People for Animals.
And Maneka Gandhi isn't the only one charmed by Charlie as popular Kannada actress and former member of parliament, Ramya, too showered love upon the film. Following the special screening held in Bengaluru on June 6, Ramya shared a special video message to the team wherein she said that 777 Charlie is the perfect film for families to get together in a cinema hall.
"Charlie is a very sweet film and an emotional one too. I enjoyed watching the film and must have cried a bit too. I think families were unable to watch a film together in theatres post Covid but 777 Charlie would be the right one to put an end to that because not only would kids enjoy this film carries a great message for adults as well. I am glad that such films are being made, especially in Kannada, because these kinds of stories aren't told often and I must congratulate Rakshit Shetty and Kiranraj K for making such a nice film. Special mention of Raj B. Shetty and Adrika who have done a wonderful job. Everyone must watch this film in theatres," said Ramya.
