It would seem that actor-producer Rakshit Shetty has another box office winner on hand as 777 Charlie crosses a new milestone. According to the latest trade reports, the film has collected close to Rs. 76 crores worldwide in terms of gross figures and is well on course to reap more rewards in its third-weekend at the box office. By virtue of these collections, 777 Charlie becomes Rakshit Shetty’s highest-grossing film worldwide as it surpasses his previous best Avane Srimannarayana.

According to the trade figures updated by Wikipedia, 777 Charlie now stands at a credible #6 position in the list of highest-grossing Kannada films across the globe. The film has edged past Hombale Films’ 2017 film Raajakumaara in its pursuits and looks set to breach more records in the coming days. KGF: Chapter 2, for obvious reasons, takes the pole position with Rs. 1250 crores.

The nett figures of 777 Charlie too have been incredibly encouraging as the film near the Rs. 70 crore mark by the end of Day 15 (June 24). The fact that Avane Srimannarayana did not have a bonafide Hindi theatrical release also helps 777 Charlie in its ‘pan-India’ run. The film, owing to its highly relatable central theme of a man-animal relationship, has created a niche among the audiences and continues to perform well at the box office.

According to the same trade reports, the original Kannada release remains the biggest contributor with Rs. 51 crores with the Hindi dubbed release collecting close to Rs. 4.50 crores to date. The rest of the dubbed releases, comprising the Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam versions, have collectively earned approx. Rs. 7 crores in the 15-day box office run. All figures are as per the nett collections.

Directed by Kiranraj K, the film also stars Sangeetha Sringeri, Bobby Simha, Raj B. Shetty, Baby Sharvari, and Gopalkrishan Deshpande. Nobin Paul has scored the music with Arvind S. Kashyap handling cinematography. The film was recently declared tax-free by the Karnataka government.
