The 70th National Awards ceremony was held today, on October 8, 2024, at the Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. The awards were presented by President Droupadi Murmu to all the winners. Gulmohar starring Manoj Bajpayee and Sharmila Tagore bagged three awards at the prestigious event. Bollywood actor Manoj now received his fourth National Film Award with this film and the actor expressed his joy.

Manoj Bajpayee received his fourth National Film Award today for his exceptional performance in the OTT-released film - Gulmohar. The actor has now talked about winning the prestigious award and how he feels grateful for receiving the recognition. In the video message shared by the actor, he said, “When I got it three times, even then my reaction was the same on getting the news of National Award as it is for the fourth time."
The actor further added that when he was feeling hopeless, he used to think that if he got this once, his life would become blessed and today he has received it for the fourth time for the film Gulmohar. "So I consider myself a very lucky artist who is getting a National Award for the fourth time,” Bajpayee added.
Meanwhile, Gulmohar has won three awards at the National Film Awards - Best Feature Film in Hindi, Best Screenplay (Dialogues), and Special Mention (feature film).
