The film also stars actors Anandaraj, Munishkanth, Daniel Annie Pope, Mime Gopi, and Kota Srinivasa among others playing supporting roles. The music was composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas in his debut, with cinematography by PV Shankar and editing by Prasanna GK. Maragadha Naanayam opened to positive reception upon its release. It was also during the filming of this project, the lead actors fell in love and eventually got married. They had earlier worked in the film titled Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka.

It is produced by G. Dillibabu under Axess Film Factory. A sequel for the film was announced in 2023. However further details about the project have not yet been announced.
