Actor R. Madhavan penned an extremely heartfelt note as his film 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ wins big at the recently held 69th National Film Awards
Yesterday was the day when the much-awaited 69th National Film Awards were announced. Readers may recall that, we had brought to you minute-by-minute update about the awards and the well-deserving winners, alongwith the complete list of winners across India. There were many surprises that this year’s National Film Awards had sprung on the viewers.
Amongst all the winners, there was one film which was almost everyone’s obvious choice to be declared as the ‘Best Film’. And the film was none other than the R. Madhavan starrer ‘The Nambi Effect’. This film was adjudged as the ‘Best Film’ at the 69th National Film Awards.
Today, the film’s leading man R. Madhavan took to social media and wrote an extremely heartfelt post, wherein he spoke about the entire journey of the film. The actor wrote, “The Nambi Effect Continues: When we all embarked on this journey of making Rocketry – The Nambi Effect, we had very early on realised that we were not making an ordinary film. In fact, what we were all doing as a team was paying tribute to one man - Nambi Narayanan. A man who dedicated his life to leap frog India (and ISRO) ahead into the international space race. When we all at Team Rocketry met him, we knew this project was not a project anymore. It became a matter of national service. To tell the story of this man to the nation, and the world”.
He continued, “Today as we look back at this journey, we are filled with pride. This National Award is another tribute to the greatness of Shri Nambi Narayanan. We were just mere tools to tell his extraordinary story. We thank the entire nation from the bottom of our heart for giving this love and appreciation to our beloved Nambi sir. This award has vindicated our efforts and we shall be grateful and ever indebted for your love! Jai Hind! With love, Team Rocketry”.
