It is an emotional moment for actor Vicky Kaushal as his film, Sardar Udham, bagged five national awards in various categories today evening. A wide range of emotions are overflowing within the hearts of the makers of the film.

Expressing this emotion, the 35-year-old Vicky Kaushal expressed that he feels honoured and humbled to be a part of such a brilliant creation. Not only this, but he also remembered the late actor Irrfan Khan for his monumental contribution towards the film.

On Instagram today, Vicky wrote, “Congratulations team!!! Honoured and grateful to be a part of #SardarUdham … To Irrfan Sir!” This post by Vicky Kaushal has been liked by thousands of people within a fraction of a few seconds.

One fan commented, “This performance pinched our soul and riveted so many emotions. Hats off to you and this film.” Another fan wrote, “Huge congratulations to the entire team of Sardar Udham.”

Sardar Udham today won five national awards in various categories namely Best Hindi Film, Best Cinematography, Best Audiography, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Designer. This announcement was made by filmmaker Ketan Mehta on behalf of the Government of India.

If you observe, Vicky Kaushal remembered late actor Irrfan Khan in his post. Reportedly, Irrfan Khan was supposed to play the character of Sardar Udham Singh in this national award-winning movie. However, owing to his battle with cancer, Irrfan left his heavenly abode in 2020 following which this role was played by Vicky Kaushal instead.
