Devi Sri Prasad has bagged the Best Music Director award at the 69th National Awards which was announced some time ago. The musician-singer-lyricist won recognition for Sukumar's Tollywood film Pushpa: The Rise which was released in 2021. He has been receiving praise from several quarters for the same.
None other than Kamal Haasan is one among those who has congratulated DSP for his prestigious achievement. The Ulaganayagan took to Twitter to express happiness about the musician's success and wished him the best in his future endeavours. The duo shares a great bond ever since they collaborated for Manmadan Ambu in 2010. They recently caught up during the screening of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2 in Chennai.
Suriya is another celebrity from Tamil cinema who has congratulated DSP. He, too, took to his Twitter page and said that the award is a well-deserved recognition. The actor and the musician have worked on projects like Aaru, Singam and Singam 2. They are now collaborating on the ambitious project Kanguva which will be released next year.
DSP is yet to say something about the National Award he has achieved today. Film buffs are curious to know how he is going to express excitement on the same.
His music was one of the highlights of Pushpa which went on to become the biggest grosser in Allu Arjun's career. Interestingly, the actor bagged the Best Actor award as well for the movie. They are now busy with Pushpa 2 aka Pushpa: The Rule which is expected to hit the screens next year.
