Directors Raj and DK, who are known for their crime drama series The Family Man congratulated their lead actor for winning a National Award for the third time
The 67th National Film Awards were presented on October 25 in Delhi. Actor Manoj Bajpayee was honoured with the Best Actor Award for his performance in Devashish Makhija's Bhonsle. He has ever since been receiving congratulatory messages and wishes from his friends and colleagues in the showbizz industry. The latest to join the bandwagon are the directors of his earlier series The Family Man.
The directors of the hit Amazon Prime show, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK took to social media to congratulate Manoj for his third National Film Award. The actor had earlier won National awards for the 1998 film Satya and 2003 film Pinjar.
They wrote: "Congratulations dearest @BajpayeeManoj for the hattrick National Film Awards!! So so happy and honoured to have shared a small part of your journey! I think you've achieved legendary status! ๐" (sic) Check out the post here:
Manoj Bajpayee had played the lead role in the series, helmed by them. He will be now seen reprising his role as Srikant Tiwari, a spy agent for the third season of the thriller series. He had also won the Best Performance Male in a series award at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. The season 2 had starred him alongside Sharib Hashmi, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Priya Mani, Ashlesha Thakur, Darshan Kumar and Sharad Kelkar.
Manoj had earlier said that while the story for season 3 is ready, the makers will start working on the screenplay once the COVID-19 induced lockdown is lifted. If things go well, he said, it will take over one year for Season 3 to be out.
