Adam Driver and Ariana Greenblatt's intergalactic adventure 65 debuts on OTT in India, where dinosaurs and drama await.
The 2023 science fiction film, 65 has made its way to OTT in India. The film featuring Adam Driver in India has premiered on SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium) and also stars Ariana Greenblatt in the lead role. Bryan Woods and Scott Beck direct 65, and Sam Raimi, Deborah Liebling, and Zainab Azizi co-produce it.
In this film, Driver takes centre stage as the commander of an intergalactic spacecraft that slams into an extraordinarily old Earth. He hasn't seen his wife and daughter in over a year. A little girl named Koa, who has recently emerged from a cryogenic chamber, is an orphan hailing from the upper territories. Even though they don't understand each other, they know they must leave to survive. As rocks and asteroids rain down on them, they fight dinosaurs and quicksand to find a way out.
In their first feature film as directors, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods (co-writers of the post-apocalyptic thriller A Quiet Place) join forces with Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Spider-Man) to create a science fiction action thriller that evokes Jurassic Park and The Last of Us while also delving into an emotional backstory reminiscent of Station Eleven.

Mills, an astronaut living on the planet Somaris, makes the difficult decision to embark on a two-year space exploration mission. Despite the mission's separation from his wife Alya and daughter Nevine, he finds himself with no other option. In the middle of a health care crisis, he finds a job that promises to pay for the treatment of Nevine's life-threatening illness—a predicament that many can relate to.
The problem is that he can't return to his family because the spaceship runs into difficulty. After avoiding asteroids, Mills crashed into an unfamiliar planet—all he knows is that it was Earth 65 million years ago. T. rexes roams the gorgeous and brutal countryside, and quicksand swallows anyone who passes through. All but one passenger, a girl who looks to be around Nevine's age, has perished along with the cryogenic chambers that Mills' ship was carrying. He finds out that her name is Koa, and despite the fact that she doesn't speak English, he feels compelled to quickly convey to her the danger they face here. They had only the ship's escape chamber, located on a mountaintop, to rely on for survival. Quick action is required.
The film was released in theatres with a budget of $45 million and mediocre reviews from critics; it earned $60 million worldwide.
