6 must-watch Rakshit Shetty films to stream on OTT ahead of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A is, of course top priority, but there are some other Rakshit films you should watch

It’s been over 7 years since Rakshit Shetty turned to direction, but he’s determined to change that around, with the next few years dedicated to his own films. Once he is done and dusted with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, Rakshit will go on floors with Richard Anthony, which is being produced by Hombale Films. This will be a big, pan-India project, which he intends to give maximum reach, and his hope is that his filmography so far will be a road map of sorts that shows his versatility as an actor.

His game plan, he had said, has been to build his profile and fan base with each film. While Rakshit has done a dozen films as a leading man and several cameos in his career spanning 12-13 years so far, there are a handful that we think you ought to see before he returns with Richard Anthony. If you are new to Rakshit, these are also the films that you can watch before heading to theatres on November 17 for Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B.

Rakshit Shetty: After Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, I will concentrate on direction

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A

Since the culmination of the Manu (Rakshit Shetty) and Priya (Rukmini Vasanth) love story in Side B is only days away – it’s releasing on November 17 – those who have not seen director Hemanth M Rao’s intense love story can catch the first part on OTT. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is not a film for everyone, but if you dig love stories, even tragic ones, check this one out. Side A is available to stream in Kannada, Malayalam Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, while Side B is only releasing in the four south languages for now.

Ulidavaru Kandanthe

This is Rakshit Shetty’s directorial debut and should be a must watch because his next is Richard Anthony, the prequel to Ulidavaru Kandanthe, which delves into the life of his character, Richie. Ulidavaru Kandanthe was not a box office success back in the day, but has, over time, attained cult status. The film was among the first to experiment with rooted story-telling, by setting the narrative in Mangaluru and capturing the essence of Tulu Nadu.
