Seven arrests so far

A total of seven arrests have been made so far. It is to be noted that at the time of Elvish’s arrest in the case, five men were arrested and out on bail. Elvish is serving 14-day term in the judicial custody.

Elvish’s confession

While previously Noida DCP Vidya Sagar Mishra had stated that Elvish did not co-operate and lied during the interrogation, new reports suggest that the YouTuber has admitted to smuggling snake venom in the said party in Noida. Previously, Elvish had said that he was not at the party and while denying claims of supplying snake venom, he had said that he would co-operate with the cops to solve the case.

He was presented in Surajpur, Greater Noida’s district court. After the hearing, Elvish is being sent to judicial custody for 14 days on March 17. The case falls under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972.

An FIR was filed against six people with Noida sector 49, Uttar Pradesh police station on November 3. This is after snake venom was consumed at a party in Noida. Elvish was among the six names that People For Animals (PFA) named in the FIR. The YouTuber is the last to be arrested in the case. The other five were arrested and are out on bail. The case shifted from sector 49 to sector 20. Elvish was arrested in lieu of Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under IPC 120B. He claimed he was not at the party. The PFA chairperson and BJP leader Maneka Gandhi accused the Youtuber of illegally selling snake venom.
