He was once chairman of the Film and Television institute of India
Anupam is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and was even appointed as chairman of the institute in October 2017. While the move did ruffle some feathers in the public consciousness, the actor stepped down from the post and went on to act in the American medical drama New Amsterdam.
September 10 is known as Anupam Kher Day in Las Vegas
Anupam has managed to win the hearts of people from all over the world. That’s why in 2016, Ruben Kihuen, the Senator of Nevada, USA, declared September 10 ‘Anupam Kher Day’. This was done to celebrate the actor’s talent and quality entertainment factor. His play Mera Woh Matlab Nahin Tha also fetched him accolades in Houston and 15 other US cities and in Canada.
