Uppena
Telugu romantic-drama Uppena focuses on caste violence. The film stars Vaishnavi Tej and Krithi Shetty in lead roles with Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi starring as the antagonist.

The Priest
Malayalam mystery-horror The Priest revolves around a priest with a special skill - detecting supernatural elements. An investigation into a series of connected suicides leads the titular character down a spiral of revelations. The Priest stars Mammootty and Manju Warrier.

Vellam
Vellam is the story of an alcoholic whose life is transformed when he decides to change his ways. Starring Jayasurya, Samyuktha Menon, Siddique, Sreelakshmi and Santhosh Keezhattor, this Malayalam biographical drama is based on the life Murali Kunumpurath, who went from being in the depths of alcoholism to a successful entrepreneur.
Why you should watch this film: The plot of the film is realistic. The highlight of the film is Murali (played by Jayasurya) struggling with alcoholism. The actor has sunk his teeth deep into the role and it shows.

Yuvarathnaa
Puneeth Rajkumar's Yuvarathnaa tells the story of a government college that is on the verge of shutting down due to politics and the privatisation of the education system. Prakash Raj plays the college principal, who is fighting against this and Rajkumar’s character emerges as a student who supports his vision.
