VJ and anchor Bhavna Balakrishnan was the host for the inaugural function of the 44th International Chess Olympiad, which was held in Chennai on Thursday. And her elegant presentation, which was a mix of Tamil and English, has come for praise from many. An emotional Bhavna, today, took to her social media page, to thank the everyone and said that her phone hasn't stopped ringing since the inaugural.
The anchor congratulated the entire team for pulling off the event and wrote on her social media page, "Congratulations to the entire team for pulling off a seamless event of this magnitude.My heartfelt gratitude& wishes! ๐ช๐ @CMOTamilnadu @PMOIndia @Udhaystalin @arrahman @VigneshShivN @OnCue @Renaissance_ygk @MediaMasons (sic)."
She also penned a heartfelt note and stated that she was overwhelmed by all the love and affection pouring from all quarters. She wrote, "Grateful, humbled, joyous. The last 48 hours have been an emotional rollercoaster. My family's phones have been ringing off the hook and Mine has run out of battery a couple of times! Such have been the wishes, love, words of appreciation and support that have been pouring in."
She added, "I did the event to the best of my abilities under the circumstances, desperately hoping that I do a good enough job of representing the state and our country to the people of the world. But reading some of your messages has certainly made me teary eyed and mostly thankful. I really do feel like I was meant to be there on stage. This moment was nothing but a DIVINE INTERVENTION."
She stated that she will try to do better at every stage. "I will cherish forever this day and this opportunity, as I move along in my career determined to do better with every passing event /stage I step into/on." She ended the letter stating that her heart was full and soul, happy.
