The veteran actor, who will turn 61 years of age in a couple of months, is arguably the busiest and one of the most sought-after leading actors in the business today; and with his upcoming slate of films proving to be quite vibrant and eclectic, his fans, too, are excited more than ever. As a perfect reminder of what he has achieved and also of what is in store, Shiva Rajkumar marks his 37th year as an actor in the Kannada Film Industry today, February 19th.

As far as his upcoming line-up of films is concerned, Shiva Rajkumar is currently shooting for Ghost a gripping heist thriller that also stars Jayaram, Anupam Kher and Prashanth Narayanan. Simultaneously, he has also been working on Yogaraj Bhat's Karataka Dhamanaka wherein he shares the screen with Prabhudeva, Nishvika Naidu, and others. He also has Arjun Janya's directorial debut 45 and this film, too, promises to be an exciting venture with both Upendra and Raj B. Shetty as part of the cast. Shivanna will also don a superhero-like avatar in Sachin B. Ravi's Saga of Ashwatthama sooner than later.
On the 18th of February, Shiva Rajkumar announced the second venture of his home banner of Geetha Pictures, Bhairathi Ranagal. The film, helmed by Narthan, will be the much-anticipated spin-off of the 2017 film Mufti.
In the same vein, he will be making his Tamil debut with not one but two super exciting films in the form of Captain Miller (starring Dhanush) and Jailer starring superstar Rajinikanth and others.
