Jagdeep Sidhu's romantic Punjabi film Qismat 2 had its theatrical release in 2021 on September 23. The movie, featuring Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta, was a sequel to the 2018 movie Qismat. Following the first installment's success, a second part was made. Today, Qismat 2 has clocked three years since its theatrical release. As per the film's official synopsis, Qismat 2 is a story about unrequited love - 'the shapes it takes, the way it changes us and the exhilarating and often heartbreaking role it takes us on'. It follows the story of Shivjit, Bani, and Majaz who navigate through life, sorrow, and love. While Ammy played Shivjit's character, Sargun was seen as Bani. As for Tania, she essayed the part of Majaz.

Written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, Qismat 2 can be streamed on ZEE5. You can also watch this romantic film with your OTTplay Premium subscription. This film also featured Jaani, Rupinder Rupi, and Satwant Kaur in key roles. Qismat 2 was backed by Shri Narotam Ji Production and Zee Studios. Singer B Praak lent his voice to four tracks in this movie.

Sargun Mehta and Ammy Virk on Qismat 2

Earlier, when Qismat 2 headed for its OTT premiere on ZEE5 Sargun Mehta spoke about the love and appreciation her film had received in cinemas. "Ever since its theatrical release, the love and appreciation we have received have been absolutely great. It’s truly gratifying to know that the film will now be able to reach a wider audience through ZEE5," the actress said, in an official statement.
