It has been 2 years since Silambarasan’s science fiction action thriller Maanaadu released. The 2021 superhit film was directed by Venkat Prabhu who took to his social media handle to thank the audience for appreciating his film. Kalyani Priyadarshan who played the female lead in the thriller retweeted and thanked the director for giving her the opportunity. Interestingly, Maanaadu marked a turning point for Simbu, who was reeling from a string of flops. Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Surya, Manoj Bharathiraja, Premji, YG Mahendran and many more.

The actress who starred in the science fiction opposite Simbu, expressed her gratitude to Venkat Prabhu for the film and also enquired about his shoot about his upcoming film Thalapathy 68 with Vijay. The actress wrote, “Sirrr! I’m so proud to be a part of this film and thank you so much for everything! Hope shoot has been going well and can’t wait for the film!”.

Venkat Prabhu’s next outing with Thalapathy Vijay
Director Venkat Prabhu is currently shooting with Vijay for his upcoming film tentatively titled Thalapathy 68. Speculations say that Vijay would be seen in a double role in Venkat Prabhu's directorial outing. An official confirmation is still awaited. However, Venkat's latest tweet about the film from the Hollywood studio has added more fuel to that speculation. It's also said that the filmmakers are in talks with the likes of Simran and Jyothika to play the female lead in the movies.
