It's been two years since Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Mohan's Doctor hit screens. The film, a laugh riot, is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and marks his sophomore project after his hit maiden venture, Kolamaavu Kokila starring Nayanthara in the lead. Here are five reasons to watch the film.

When the black comedy Kolamaavu Kokila released, the film was praised for its content which packed a lot of entertainment value. It received acclaim for its solid writing and Nelson repeated the same in Doctor as well.

The impressive star cast

The film has an ensemble star cast, which includes Vinay Rai, Archana Chandhoke, Yogi Babu, Milind Soman, Redin Kingsley, Deepa Shankar, Sunil Reddy and Shiva Aravind to name a few. Doctor marked the maiden collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Mohan, and the duo later went on to work in Don as well. Doctor marked Priyanka's debut in films.

Black comedy

One of the highlights of the film was its black comedy where the film's director Nelson Dilipkumar had infused comedy into day-to-day situations. With Yogi Babu and Sivakarthikeyan at the helm, the film had moments of laughter even in the most intense serious scenes.

Vinay Rai might have begun his career in Tamil cinema as an adorable chocolate boy, but he turned his cards and emerged as villain and how. After playing a ruthless villain in Mysskin's Thupparivalan, Vinay Rai's performance as a child trafficker became a massive hit.

Anirudh Ravichander's pulsating music

The album emerged as one of the biggest hits of the composer. The film marked his sixth collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. The single went viral in no time and crossed more than 100 million views on YouTube. The other songs Soul of Doctor, Nenjame and So Baby were also hits.
