Filmmaker Manso Re recently announced that his film 19.20.21 is all set to release soon in theatres and that the pre-release promotions would get underway with a brief introduction of the characters. He took to social media to unveil the looks of a few of his main characters in the film, revealing that the ensemble cast includes an interesting mix of well-known theatre and film artists. And now, earlier today, Manso Re and Co. released the first teaser of the film and subsequently, raised the curiosity levels to a new high. With a cryptic title already having left the audience puzzled and intrigued, the latest video glimpse only makes things edgier. Manso Re, following his 2021 political thriller ACT 1978, now brings a new thriller that is set firmly in the socio-political context.
Although the storyline still remains under wraps, 19.20.21 is centred on a forest preservation issue and a police case that dates to December 2012. One sees a montage of visuals revealing hints of the main plot with various characters seemingly in the thick of something very momentous. Stage and TV actor Shrunga plays one of the more important characters along with Avinash and others.
To emphasize the political and social nature of the film, 19.20.21 carries the tagline 'For the People, By The People, Of the People'. In his past media interactions, Manso Re has hinted often that his film is a critical view of the government, adding that the title refers to an occurrence that concerns everyone.
