Stream Luck on Prime Video and ShemarooMe to celebrate 15 years of the 2009 action film.
It's been 15 years since the release of Luck the action thriller. The 2009 release featured Imran Khan in his third outing, while Shruti Haasan made her first appearance in a feature film. Luck also starred Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, Danny Denzongpa, Ravi Kishan, and Chitrashi Rawat in pivotal roles. If you are planning to revisit the film on OTT, it is available to stream on Prime Video and ShemarooMe (OTTplay Premium).
Karim Moussa (Sanjay Dutt), an underworld gambler, enlists the help of those blessed with "luck" from all over the world to compete in a series of perilous tasks that will put their luck to the test. Bettors from all over the world will wager on their results. Whoever makes it to the end of the game unscathed will win 20 crores.
Soham Shah helmed the 2009 action thriller Luck while Dhilin Mehta served as producer for Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. After receiving mixed reviews upon its debut on its release, Luck bombed at the box office.
Earlier, in an interview with India Today, Soham Shah discussed his lessons learned from setbacks, particularly Luck's. The filmmaker lamented that, looking back, he doesn't think Imran Khan was the best option for the character of the film's "action hero," and that audiences didn't warm up to him. He can't blame Imran because it's his film, his baby, and his decisions.
Furthermore, Soham revealed that the film's climax was fantastic in theory but ultimately fell short of his expectations. However, they proceeded with a few minor adjustments. These were his films, but they were also his lessons. He said that since no one can guarantee success, you must keep going.
A few months ago, Imran reminisced on his Instagram page and shared a story about Luck. The actor came across these vintage photos of Luck and thought people would enjoy seeing them. He shared a photo of himself standing in the midst of fire, remarking that the umbrella helped the sun but not the flames. During a take, an explosion struck too close to him, literally burning off his eyelashes. In fact, the explosion permanently attached him to the exterior of a flying Cessna.
