Golmaal 3 is Rohit Shetty’s family chaos comedy that continues to evoke the same laughter and joy as Diwali celebrations.
It's been 14 years since Rohit Shetty helmed one of the funniest films in Bollywood, Golmaal 3. The dialogues that crack you up instantly and have been memorable for more than a decade say it all. From "DDLJ... Diwali" to "Jaldi bol kal subah panvel nikalna hai" people have mouthed these lines like it's an everyday thing, and they still do.
Shetty's 2010 action comedy Golmaal 3 is the third installment in the successful Golmaal film series. Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Mithun Chakraborty, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Johnny Lever are all part of the ensemble cast. The plot takes some cues from Basu Chatterjee's 1978 film Khatta Meetha which was spun off from the 1968 film Yours, Mine and Ours.

In the film, Pritam (Chakraborty), a single father, experiences a romantic encounter in Goa with Geeta (Pathak Shah), his college sweetheart. However, their reunion proves challenging due to their children's ongoing arguments. Geeta's father (Prem Chopra) forbids their marriage, forcing her and Pritam to separate. Life offers them a second opportunity, centuries later. However, their children, who are fierce adversaries, provide an even greater obstacle this time around. War breaks out between the children of Geeta and Pritam, leading to chaos.
Golmaal 3 was released simultaneously with Diwali. The film received mixed reviews, with some applauding the acting and comedy while others criticised the plot and humour for being overly predictable. Despite this, the movie was a huge success, being the fourth Indian film to earn Rs. 100 crore, and it was close to a final global total of Rs. 167 crore, or $20 million. Following Dabangg as India's highest-grossing film of 2010, Golmaal 3 placed third globally, behind the Salman Khan blockbuster and My Name Is Khan.
2013 saw the release of Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda a Telugu adaptation of Golmaal 3.
JioCinema (OTTplay Premium), Prime Video, and ShemarooMe (OTTplay Premium) all offer Golmaal 3 for streaming.
