In an interview with OTTplay, Vikrant discusses the preparation work he did for the movie, which is based on a true tale. He also discusses how he disproved the notion held by some that he was unable to play a wide range of roles.

"There are people who say, even earlier that because you have played a "good boy" earlier so you won't be able to play a negative character. It was the 80s and 70s era when if the character of the villain was played by a hero then the audience would not accept him but I think we have gone beyond those times. It totally depends on the responsibility which is bestowed upon me via people but I am really looking forward to 12th Fail. Because it is a common man story and it is made for a common man and they are incredibly powerful."
