Today, this iconic movie is celebrating 12 years since its inception. To make this day more memorable, actress Nargis Fakhri – who played the role of Heer in the film, has penned a special note for her fans and well-wishers. Not only this, but Imtiaz Ali – the director of the film, also dropped a special post today marking this celebration.
Nargis Fakhri pens a heartfelt note for ‘Rockstar’ fans
Taking to Instagram today, Nargis wrote a lovely message for the fans of ‘Rockstar’ and said, “12 years of Rockstar. Pretty crazy how time flies, but this film and everyone who worked on it will forever be in my heart. Heer will always be a part of me and so is the memories of Jordan. Once in a Life Time! Thank you @imtiazaliofficial & #ranbirkapoor”
Heer, for the unfamiliar, was Jordan’s love interest in the movie. The character of Jordan was essayed by Ranbir Kapoor.
Soon after this post surfaced online, many Rockstar movie fans thronged to their social media handles and wrote down their memories attached to the film.
On Nargis’s post, one Instagrammer wrote, “11.11.11........Eternal date ...can never forget... changed the dynamics of love in cinema.”
“Rockstar is not a movie. It's an Emotion,” wrote another Instagram user.
One more Instagrammer said, “The music of this movie is still cherished by me till date.”

'Rockstar', a 2011 Indian musical romantic drama, was both written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. The lead roles in the film are portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, supported by a talented cast including Aditi Rao Hydari, Piyush Mishra, Shernaz Patel, Kumud Mishra, and Shammi Kapoor in a posthumous screen appearance after his death on August 14, 2011. A. R. Rahman composed the captivating soundtrack.
