1000 Babies, the upcoming crime thriller series is gearing up to have its grand premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, very soon. Rahman, the popular actor is all set to make his OTT debut with the series, directed by Najeem Koya. Neena Gupta, the senior Bollywood actress is making a comeback to the Malayalam entertainment industry after a long gap of 32 years, with 1000 Babies. The streaming platform officially revealed the web series recently, with a twisted trailer.

1000 Babies trailer is out

The 1.56-minute-long trailer of 1000 Babies begins with the visuals of a scientific lab. Later, a mysterious elderly woman played by Nina Gupta and the investigation officer, played by Rahman, are introduced in the trailer. The woman, who is seemingly named Sarah, is often seen using her typewriter to note down her thoughts, as she remembers her past. Later, Rahman’s character speaks to a woman named Merlin, about a reclusive man named Bibin, who used to send her letters.

As the trailer unfolds, it is further made clear that 1000 Babies is going to be a one-of-a-kind, egde-of-the-seat thriller experience for Malayalam OTT audiences. Rahman and Neena Gupta look perfect in their roles as the strict, highly skillful investigation officer, and the elderly woman who has quite a lot of secrets in her life. The effective background score and the captivating visuals perfectly set the mood for the Najeem Koya directorial.

Along with Rahman and Neena Gupta, the Disney+ Hotstar web series features a massive star cast including Sanju Sivaram, Ashwin Kumar, Adil Ibrahim, Shaju Sreedhar, Irshad Ali, Joy Mathew, VKP, Manu M Lal, Shalu Rahim, Sirajudheen Nazar, Dain Davis, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Vivia Shanth, Nazlin, Dileep Menon, Srikant Murali, and others in supporting roles.

Sankar Sharma has composed the songs and original score. Faiz Siddik is the director of photography. Johnkutty handles the editing. 1000 Babies, scripted by Najeem Koya and Arouz Irfan, is produced by Shaji Nadesan and Arya, under the banner August Cinema.
