They came together in an Instagram Live video which had Bharat and Parvathy, too,
AR Rahman and Dhanush
Maryan, one of the important films in Dhanush's career, celebrated its 10th year on July 19. The movie helmed by Bharat Bala stood out for its performances from lead actors and technical aspects. AR Rahman, who composed music for the project, appeared on Instagram Live yesterday, leaving his fans elated.
Interestingly, Dhanush, too, was spotted in the video. The actor has been sporting the Captain Miller (forthcoming movie) look of late for public appearances. He was seen in a different look in the video, and left his fans puzzled. The duo recollected memories of having worked in the film which went on to attain a cult status.
Bharat and Parvathy, who played a pivotal role in Maryan, also appeared in the Live for some time. Dhanush said that till today, some people refuse to believe that the popular Kadal Raasa Naan song was written by him. He also remembered the crew leaving him alone with a few cheetahs in a cage.
The actor-filmmaker also revealed that he was ecstatic while working with Rahman for the first time. They went on to team up later in Raanjhanaa, Atrangi Re and Tere Ishk Mein. It is said that they might join hands again for D 50, which marks Dhanush's second directorial project.
On his part, Rahman said that his music in Maryan was mediocre and that he would have done a better job if he was to work on the project now.
