In the Kangana Ranaut-produced film, Avneet Kaur is paired opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Avneet Kaur made her debut as a leading lady in Bollywood with Tiku Weds Sheru which recently premiered on Prime Video. However, the actor has been a popular face for many years since people have been fans of her amazing dancing skills. Through several dance reality shows, namely Dance India Dance: Li'l Masters, Dance Ke Superstars, and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, Avneet has created a fan base of her own since childhood. So, during an interaction with OTTplay, the actor was asked what gravitated her more towards acting than dancing.
To which Avneet exclusively told us, "I myself was confused about whether to become a dancer or an actor, because you cannot do both fully. When you become an actor, you don't get any time at all to do your personal things. Dancing is happening side by side even now, because that's the reason why I have come here. That will always stay with me and will never leave. I really don't want it to ever leave."
Talking about how learning dance never stops for her, the actor added, "I am still learning Kathak from my dance guru. Dance is the reason I'm into acting. I would say that when I learned Kathak, I had done a course for three years. So I've given my practicals, my exams, and everything else, and I've actually understood a lot of things about acting from Kathak. There are so many expressions and adaayein in Kathak that you get to learn, and those help you a lot in acting."
Avneet concluded by saying, "So I think acting was always there in me, but acting was brought to me by dance. So, I would never leave dancing."
Before Tiku Weds Sheru the actor had played minor roles in films such as Mardaani, Qarib Qarib Singlle and Mardaani 2. She has also explored the OTT world with Babbar Ka Tabbar and a cameo in Bandish Bandits.
