In OTTplay's exclusive interview, Sharib Hashmi shared an update about The Family Man 3. The actor will reprise his role of JK Talpade in the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer.

After two successful seasons, The Family Man makers renewed the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer series for a third season. The Family Man 3, starring Manoj and Sharib Hashmi, went on floors earlier this year. Since then, fans have been excitedly waiting for an update on the Amazon Prime Video show's release. In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Sharib, who plays JK Talpade in the series, revealed the current status of his project.

Although Sharib Hashmi didn't confirm The Family Man 3's release date, the actor hopes that it will premiere next year. "The Family Man season 3 will hopefully come next year. When exactly, even I don't know. But yeah, currently we are shooting the last schedule. We will wrap the entire shoot of season 3 by the end of December. Then, it (the release date) will be posted," he told OTTplay.

Sharib further expressed that he is eager to know the audience's response to the Raj & DK show. "I don't know when it will come. But even I am dying to see it with the audience. And I can't wait to see their response for the third season because we have worked really hard this time," shared Sharib.

In season three, Sharib will reprise the character of JK and Manoj will be seen as Srikant Tiwari. The new season will reportedly feature Srikant confronting the looming threat to national security while balancing the demands of his personal life. "As Srikant races against time, the stakes escalate as he needs to outmaneuver a formidable adversary and protect his country and its sovereignty," a note by the makers read.

On Sharib Hashmi's work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sharib Hashmi will next be seen in Khoj. He will share screen space with Anupriya Goenka in the series, which will drop on ZEE5 on December 27, 2024.
