Akshay Oberoi on the evolution of OTT platforms

As we have seen the significant growth of OTT in the past 5 years, we asked the actor about his perspective on the relationship between actors and digital platforms, Akshay Oberoi said, “It’s love! It’s absolute love! Of course, it has changed now because the OTT platforms have become much like the local producers also want bigger stars for their projects."

The actor further talked about how digital platforms have evolved over the years and how it has now become more of a star-driven project. He said, "When it first started, the stars did not want to do OtT stuff so the casting that happened before, we all had the benefit of it. So many of us had a chance in the initial years to make a name for ourselves because the casting was organic, the casting wasn’t about stars and platforms. And now things are changing but then it (the OTT platform) is the newfound love."
