Mathu Vadalara 2 is all set to release on September 13, 2024. Sri Simha Koduri, nephew of S S Rajamouli plays the main lead. He speaks about the sequel, Satya's dominance in the film, working with the likes of Faria Abdullah, learning from his flops, and support from his uncle Rajamouli.
Yes, even we are shocked to see such a positive response to the trailer. We thought that a section who loves wacky humor would love the trailer. But the response has been positive from all quarters and this has made us tense as we need to live up to all the hype created. But I am confident that Mathru Vadalara 2 will end up giving a fun ride to one and all.
He is a family friend and came to know about the film's release date and enquired about the release formalities. That is the time, we decided to launch the trailer through him. He watched the trailer multiple times and loved it. That is also the reason, he decided to even shoot for a gag related to the trailer. His presence in the promotions has given our film a solid hype.
When the first part was a smash hit, we never had a plan to make a sequel. But the moment we decided to make a sequel, we did not even have a script in hand. But the moment we had, the makers decided to shoot the film on a silent note. That is the reason, no one knew about the film three weeks before the release date.
I have no qualms about being dominated by Satya. It is also because of him the first part clicked the way it did. Seeing his craze, the director Ritesh has given him a solid role. We play two different characters and he is on fire in the sequel. Films are teamwork and if one actor dominates the show and that brings the audience to the theater, I feel so happy about it.

With each passing film, I have learned something or the other. Unless you fall, you cannot learn. I have now understood what works and what does not. I am very careful about my films and if I have a doubt, I have a film family to go to. But as of now, I am learning all by myself and will get there one day.
Director Ritesh Rana has come up with a solid sequel. The comedy quotient in the sequel is higher than in the first part. Ritesh has made sure that the comedy is situational and the fun generated is not over the top. Faria Abdullah is a solid addition to the film and has done a solid job.
