Sai Tamhankar is presently earning praise for her performance in Bhakshak. The actress played the role of SSP Jasmeet Kaur in the film, helmed by Pulkit. Bhakshak, which premiered on Netflix, is said to be based on the Muzaffarpur shelter case. After the film dropped on February 9, it opened to positive feedback from the masses and critics alike. However, what were Sai's first thoughts when she was narrated the story of Bhakshak? The actress reveals it all, in conversation with OTTplay.
Sai Tamhankar shares her first thoughts about Bhakshak
When the script of Bhakshak was narrated to Sai Tamhankar, here's what the actress felt: "I thought it was an honest and real narrative and that it was hitting at the right places. Especially for Bhakshak, I think Pulkit stated some facts in a basic minimalistic, and real style. And that I think has resonated with the people."
The actress further revealed, "I liked the storytelling when I first heard the script. It was deeply moving and disturbing. But it also gave a lot of hope."

Sai Tamhankar on being affected by a few scenes in Bhakshak
The actress admitted that some scenes from the Netflix film did affect her deeply. "Of course it did. I am a human being at the end of the day. You suddenly start feeling more protective towards the ladies of your house. You suddenly start seeing them in a different light. All those things happened to me," said Sai.
The Bhakshak actress continued to mention, "When you go and come back from a retreat, you clean your system, and have a fresh approach. And you are rejuvenated. All these things also happened. For example - I am a more aware citizen than I was yesterday. I trust my system more than yesterday."
On a concluding note, the actress stated that she is now aware of the fact that everything takes its time. "You should give that thing its time - be it a legal procedure or paperwork. We get so impatient because we are now used to one click and everything is in front of us," said Sai, who also added that things don't happen easily and they take time.
