Naa Saami Ranga is a wholesome entertainer with unique thrills, says Nagarjuna Akkineni

Akkineni Nagarjuna has pinned a lot of hopes on his new film Naa Saami Ranga. In a brief chat with OTTplay, he talks about the film, working with heroes Allari Naresh, and playing a village man.

Naa Saami Ranga is Nagarjuna's latest film that will hit the screens on January 14, 2024, as a Sankranthi special. A debutante named Vijay Binni has directed this film, which has music by Oscar winner MM Keeravani.

There is a decent buzz for this film which is a village drama and speaking in an interview, Nagarjuna says that Naa Saami Ranga is a perfect festival watch and will be loved by the families.

When asked what attracted him to the film, he says "I was captivated by the various facets it embraced: friendship, love, sacrifice, and faith. Naa Saami Ranga weaves a captivating narrative infused with profound human emotions".

When asked about the storyline, Nagarjuna said, "We have showcased only 5 % in the trailer and there is so much we have kept as a secret. Once you watch the film on the big screen, you will get to enjoy more twists and thrills in the film".

Nagarjuna is paired up with Ashika Ranganath in this film and the star hero says she is one of the major highlights of the film. "Ashika's role has a twist and my chemistry with her is superb. She is one actress who will go a long way in her career".

Naa Saami Ranga is based on the Malayalam film Porinju Mariam Jose. When asked about the same, Nagarjuna said director Binni deserves a solid appreciation for his meticulous adaptation, adding that writer Bezwada Prasanna seamlessly blended the story with Telugu nativity.

Popular heroes, Allari Naresh and Raj Tharun play key roles in this film. Speaking about their roles, Nagarjuna said that the character played by Allari Naresh was envisioned before Vijay Binni's involvement in the project, with a central theme centered around brotherhood. "Also, Raj Tharun takes on a significant role in the film," he added.

Na Saami Ranga has been mounted on a massive scale. Elaborating on how the young director has helmed the film, Nagarjuna said, "Vijay Binni possesses a remarkable visual sensibility, showcased prominently in his exquisitely choreographed songs. His talent for storytelling through song sequences is evident, and I genuinely appreciate it. His directorial clarity is commendable".
