Gullak 4's Vaibhav Raj Gupta was 'tensed' during Season 1, but why? | Exclusive
Vaibhav Raj Gupta will soon be seen in Gullak Season 4. In an interview with OTTplay, the actor recalled why he was tensed while working on the first season.

Vaibhav Raj Gupta has been an integral part of Gullak since its inception. The actor plays Anand Mishra, fondly called Annu by his family members. Vaibhav is seen as the elder brother to Harsh Mayar, aka Aman, in the series, which highlights stories of the Mishra family. As Vaibhav is gearing up for season 4's release, OTTplay exclusively interviewed the actor, who recalled being tensed during the first season of Gullak.
Vaibhav Raj Gupta recalls Gullak Season 1 days
Going down memory lane, Vaibhav Raj Gupta told OTTplay it was a fan moment to work with actors like Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Sunita Rajwar. The actor said, "It was a fan moment for me because I had seen (on-screen) Papa's (Jameel Khan) Gangs of Wasseypur and he did very well in it. So, I felt it was going to be fun. I also heard a lot about Geetanjali ma'am's work and I have watched her play. I had even watched her film Court."
Vaibhav added that working with senior actors like them was the reason he was tense during Gullak Season 1. "It was like working with a lot of senior people. I even followed Sunita ma'am's work but not much. For me, it was working with NSD and theatre actors and of course, I saw the work they did. I was a bit tense about what the response would be. Ki yeh kaise honge. But on the first day, it felt like, Why didn't we meet earlier? Gullak tabhi hi Gullak banta hain, when we leave our egos at home and then go on set."
About Gullak Season 4 and OTT release date
Meanwhile, Shreyansh Pandey's Gullak Season 4 is scheduled for its digital premiere on June 7, 2024. The series will begin streaming on SonyLIV and OTTplay Premium. In the fourth season, Jameel Khan and Geetanjali Kulkarni reprise their roles of Santosh and Shanti. On the other hand, Harsh and Vaibhav will portray the roles of Aman and Annu.
