Guess who is super excited about Bangladeshi OTT platform Chorki entering the Indian market? It is none other than Swastika Mukherjee, who has been a popular face not only on the big screen but also on the national and Bengali OTT. The actress was present at Chorki’s press conference that took place on Wednesday, October 4, in Kolkata.

Will the actress work with them shortly? In fact, according to sources, the platform wishes to work with the actress in their original projects. “In 2021, we had initial talks on working with them. But that did not work out then, I definitely want to work with them. Many Bangladeshi productions are fascinating. I am a fan of their artistes – actors and directors. I am an avid consumer of Bangladeshi content and I will be delighted to work on their projects,” she said. Swastika is known to work on projects beyond the known makers and production houses. By her own admission, she loves to work with new directors. “I work with new teams and creative people. If the work is good, I am cool. I love new directors. All I look for is their understanding of the work. They must know what they are doing. I don’t mind compromising on my comfort for good work. But if the team is not professional then I am off,” she said.

Swastika went through surgery and is now recovering. She said that she has been taking rest and avoiding workloads. “Post-operative care is important and I am taking care of that. I live on the fourth floor in a building that has no lift. After the surgery, it is not advised to climb stairs. I am not stepping out regularly. Instead, I am planning my schedule so that I can optimally use the day. I will meet my doctor soon and get a clearer picture of my future schedule,” she said.
