The actor also opens up about his learning experience with Prosenjit Chatterjee.
By his own admission, Rahul Dev Bose is slightly nervous before the release of his film, Aay Khuku Aay, with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Ditipriya Roy. Directed by Sauvik Kundu and produced by Jeetz Filmworks and Grassroot Entertainment, the film will hit the theatres on June 17. Rahul plays a Ditipriya’s love interest in the film. In a candid chat with OTTplay, the actor talked about his experience of working with Prosenjit and his plans.
Talking about the anticipation around the film, Rahul admitted that he is ‘slightly nervous before the big release. “I have been travelling for promotions and I saw the crazy fervour among the people. I hope that this madness translates to theatres also,” said the actor.
But it is not just the common audience. Rahul needs the final verdict from his family as well. “It is my second feature film and for me, the final judgement from my dad, mom and brother means a lot. They will have to watch the film and tell me if I fared well. Hence, I am a little panicky about that,” he said.

Meanwhile, the actor is on cloud nine after working with Prosenjit. “He is an institution himself. For a young artiste like me, it was a great opportunity to watch him act. It was also about watching his diligence, professionalism and commitment to work and learning from him. Also, he is very kind. He realised that I was a little nervous in the beginning. But he eased it out in no time. He took that extra effort to make me comfortable and I will never forget that,” said the actor.
Rahul used to assist Srijit Mukherji in 2014-15 and that’s when he met Ditipriya for the first time on the set of Rajkahini. “I used to babysit Ditipriya back then. In this film, she and I share a romantic bond and we used to share a good laugh after every shot. We have been friends and that made our job easy in this film,” he said.
