Potluck seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on SonyLIV.
Cyrus Sahukar is back with Potluck season 2 alongside Shikha Talsania and Ira Dubey. The SonyLIV series is a family entertainer that talks about the different dynamics of a middle-class family.
In a recent chat with OTTplay, the RJ-VJ-actor spoke about the chemistry he shares with the cast members on and off camera.
Sahukar shared how special all the actors are in the show and said, "The foundation of our cast is very interesting. We shot season one in the lockdown in a bio bubble in Delhi. There was such a tight bio bubble, nobody was allowed to even leave the hotel or meet anybody outside because of COVID. So we all just 20 days with each other, constantly hanging out and working."
He further spoke about the real-life bond with the actors and mentioned, "Ira, I've known for a while now. But I truly got to call her a friend only because of Potluck and I was very close to Harman, Shikha and Saloni Khanna. You always bond on set and then when the show's over, it's shocking how we all never really catch up. We all are there for each other. But it's so difficult because everybody's busy. That's the opposite with the cast of Potluck, we shot last season over a year and a half ago and since then, every month, at least once or twice a month, there's lunch or dinner or get-together in someone's house. And the reason for that is we really like each other as human beings. And even the producers make sure that the cast always gets together. We did really well in season one and season two to the sanctions almost immediately. So we also looked forward to the fact that we'll all meet again."
Meanwhile, sharing his special thoughts on the show and its writers, Sahukar added, "I think that the slice-of-life shows are not easy to write. What happens is that you really have to be present because there's no major drama. It's about day-to-day life. Existence."
