While talking to OTTplay, the actor expressed his excitement. “It is definitely exciting. As an artiste, we always try to reach out to a wider audience,” he told us. Abir also said that the experience he gathered over years while working in Tollywood, has helped him in the bigger projects. “I believe language is not an obstruction anymore in the time of OTT platforms. If someone wants to watch my Bengali work, they can. But at the same time, we all want to work on national projects, where artistes from other regions will come and create something together. Such works are enriching for you,” he told us.

After the lockdown, Abir has taken part in hosting a reality show, Sa Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, before he got the offer for the second season of the SonyLiv series. “As an artist, I always ask myself, what’s next. During the lockdown, when everything was shut down, I got a chance to work on TV. That was a new venture and learning experience for me. Soon after that, I got this offer. Earlier, there were other offers but those did not click. This got clicked. There were date issues. With this one, dates were never an issue since the offer came during the lockdown period and I was not bogged down with Tollywood projects. You may want to see Avrodh 2 as my debut. But in reality, I am not a debutant. I have a line of work here. And now that experience will be blended with a new set of experiences. That for me is very important,” the said.
