Crimes Aaj Kal 2 host Pratik Gandhi has shared his take on the OTT censorship. The actor believes the censorship is needed in audiences' mind.

Pratik Gandhi has been actively doing projects on OTT since 2020. After making his digital debut with Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, the actor rose to fame in the streaming space. Having done a few web shows, Pratik does have a take on the question of OTT censorship. During the promotions of his new show Crimes Aaj Kal 2, wherein he is the host, OTTplay interacted with Pratik Gandhi. He believes that the biggest censorship we need is in the audiences' mind.

Pratik Gandhi on OTT censorship

When Pratik Gandhi was asked if OTT content needs censorship, the actor told us, "Well, it is a debatable question and I don't know how much censorship can help. But I think the biggest censorship we need is in the audiences' mind. Through this show (Crimes Aaj Kal 2), we want to communicate that the only thing that can help society keep away from crimes is self-control. Self-control can come in any individual through upbringing."

Pratik further mentioned, "You can't control the world around you, but what you can control is yourself and your mind. Because that is the only thing in your control. Rather than saying and controlling everything around you, if one controls his/her brain, things will be sorted. You can only control your emotions. Baaki kuch nahi ho sakta hai isme. Aap hi ko pata hai ki aapko kis cheez se gussa aata hain. So, aap hi usko control kar paoge."

Pratik Gandhi on his life after Scam 1992's success

Continuing his conversation with OTTplay, Pratik revealed how things changed for him after the massive success of Scam 1992. The actor mentioned that everything changed in his life.

He stated the success of the web show suddenly put him on national and international platforms. It is because of his 2020 web series that Pratik feels people have a lot of faith in his craft now.
