When asked if Crime Beat gave her a fresh perspective on journalism, Saba Azad told OTTplay, "The one thing that I took away from it is that—to get that one story, to make it to the newspaper— it takes a lot of hard work and corroboration. There are so many people involved at so many different levels. There are stringers, there are informants, and there's the dance between the police and the journalist."

And while Saba believes journalism is a 'tough' profession, the actress feels it comes with a sense of responsibility. "There are so many different angles that when you're investigating crime, you must keep (things) in balance. It's not easy at all and it comes with a sense of responsibility. Because, if you're reporting, then you must report the truth without opinion and bias," she added.

The Crime Beat actress feels one cannot let their 'personal bias' and 'political views' come in the way of reporting the truth. "So, I think it was a good takeaway for me that, it's a pretty tough profession," said Saba.
